{The Healthy Nonprofit Book Cover Design}
Client: Harvey McKinnon and Jim Hilborn

I had the privilege of designing another book cover for Harvey, The Healthy Nonprofit: Inspirational Thoughts on Leadership, Purpose and Success, selected and compiled by Harvey McKinnon. Harvey is the author of five acclaimed books and has raised hundreds of millions of dollars for non-profits. Along with Harvey, I also worked with Jim Hilborn, publisher of Civil Sector Press (Global Nonprofit Publishing).

The book has over 1,000 thought-provoking, inspirational quotes from the greatest thinkers, activists, and visionaries. As such, I wanted the look to be sophisticated. I chose a serif font to give it a trustworthy and established feel, suggesting the weight of history or experience. The layout was kept fairly clean and simple. The various colours connect with the colours that were used in the interior pages, designed by John VanDuzer.

I also helped out with proofreading the drafts of the interior pages.
